Trending in Berlin

This casual observer is appalled at the amount of young people I see smoking.  Like living in a tobacco town with no consequences.   Denial city.   It has become fashionably cool to roll your own. So many accessories are available here including hand tooled, expensive leather tobacco pouches, slick silver lighters as well as white plastic filters.  The ritual of rolling and then smoking seems to have reached epidemic proportions.    It does not help that city permits smoking in bars.  Entering a nice locally brewed beer bar is like passing into a brown haze.

I have seen brands I have not seen in years. L & M, Kent, Pall Mall. Tobacco stores everywhere.  

There are cigarette machines on the corners. Even near schools. 

  The hookah bars spill over into the streets with it's especially sweet fragrance.  When those guys release themselves from the mouthpiece and exhale it's like a cloud rising. Glad our window does not face the street.
